Your agent
Connect your agent
Use an MCP connection for record tools. Route model calls through the gateway when you want relevant cleared context added without asking.
Syderial issues connection addresses to design partners. These examples use https://YOUR-MCP-DOOR-ADDRESS/mcp. Sign in as yourself. One connection can reach the workspaces where you have membership and grants.
Choose a connection
Section titled “Choose a connection”| Connection | What it does | What you set up |
|---|---|---|
| MCP | Gives your agent tools to ask the record, file sources and write entries. The agent calls those tools as it works. | A remote MCP server and browser sign-in. |
| Gateway | Adds relevant context from your accessible record to model calls and records the turn. You don’t need to ask for grounding on each call. | The model door address and issued credential in a compatible client. |
You can use both. Adding MCP alone doesn’t route model calls through the gateway. A web client’s MCP connection doesn’t change where that client’s model calls go.
claude.ai
Section titled “claude.ai”- Open Customize, then Connectors.
- Choose Add custom connector, name it Syderial and enter your issued MCP address.
- Follow the browser sign-in and enable the connector for your conversation.
Your plan or organization may control which connectors you can add. See the official custom connector guide.
ChatGPT
Section titled “ChatGPT”- Enable Developer mode if your account and workspace permit it.
- Create an app for the remote MCP server, using your issued address and OAuth sign-in.
- Select the app in the conversation so ChatGPT can use its tools.
Follow the official developer mode guide for the controls available to your account. A client confirmation prompt doesn’t replace Syderial’s access and evidence checks.
Codex and Claude Code
Section titled “Codex and Claude Code”Use the commands in Coding harnesses. They cover browser sign-in and optional gateway configuration. The official Codex MCP guide and Claude Code MCP guide explain client controls.
Cursor
Section titled “Cursor”Add a remote server in your MCP configuration. For a connection available across projects, use ~/.cursor/mcp.json.
{ "mcpServers": { "syderial": { "url": "https://YOUR-MCP-DOOR-ADDRESS/mcp" } }}Follow Cursor’s browser sign-in prompt. See the official MCP guide for project-specific configuration and tool controls.
Check the connection
Section titled “Check the connection”Ask your agent: “List the Syderial workspaces I can use.” Confirm the workspace before writing. A tool list shows what the connection permits. It doesn’t prove that a source was saved or an entry posted.
If a tool is missing, check the connection and your grant. Don’t work around it with another person’s credential.
